ETIQUETTES
All members and guests are required to check in at the front desk and pay before entering the Court Area. To maintain the best possible playing surface, everyone is expected to wear clean, non-marking indoor shoes. Footwear must be changed before entering the court area. Any marks made on the badminton surface due to shoes are subject to a $250 fine. We ask that players exercise care when using all equipment, such as not hanging or leaning on the badminton nets/poles. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and the player(s) may be asked to leave the court/facility.
Group Lesson
Students registering for Modu Club group lessons are required to commit to the full two-month period, excluding statutory holiday. Payment is due in full upon registration. A valid method of payment must be provided to Modu Club to process payments for auto-registration. Payment will be charged as the registration auto-renews.
Students may reschedule up to a maximum of two (2) makeup lessons per term within the same term of the missed lesson (no make up for modu jr & pre-comp). Any absence, including but not limited to sickness, weather changes, personal events, private tournaments, or unforeseen circumstances, will count towards the four missed lessons. Any additional lessons missed (after a maximum of two) will be considered void and are not eligible for makeup lessons, store credit, or refund.
The makeup lesson must be rescheduled before or within 24 hours of the scheduled class time via email. If failed to reschedule within 24 hours, the makeup class will be void and no additional makeup lesson, store credit, or refund will be provided. Once a makeup lesson is scheduled, it cannot be rescheduled again. Makeup lessons cannot be transferred to the following term(s). Any lesson missed due to participating in a sanctioned tournament will be credited to the profile.
If students do not wish to auto-renew their group lesson registration for the next term, they must inform Modu Club via email 2 weeks prior to the term start date. If cancellation is done after, it is subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If students re-register within 2 weeks of the term start date, a $20 late fee will be charged. No late fee will be charged for new registrants, who can sign up at any time.
Private Lesson
The players will inform receptionists of their preferred days/times that they are available and their preferred coach. Modu will schedule a time that works best for both the player and the coach based on each party’s availability. Please note that Private and Semi-Private Lessons with Head Coaches are only accessible to Members who are enrolled in group lessons and represent Modu Club. All competitive players are required to schedule one private lesson per week to be enrolled in the program.
Payment is due in full before the start of a private lesson (cannot confirm booking without payment). Bookings must be fully paid before the start of the lesson. If booking for the entire term, then the entire term is required to be paid for. Players cannot reserve a spot without payment. If a spot is reserved without payment, the booking is subject to cancellation and the spot may be given away to other players who wish to schedule.
If the player(s) cannot attend a scheduled class, it is the responsibility of the player(s) to let Modu know at least 24 hours before the session. This allows other players to book that time instead. If the player cancels or reschedules the private lesson within 24 hours of the scheduled time, 50% of the lesson fee will be charged. For semi-private lessons, if one player cancels within 24 hours and their partner shows up, then the 50% cancellation fee will be charged to the player who missed and the partner who attends will be given a 30-minute private. If the partner wishes to do an hour private, they will be requested to pay the difference. If due to any reason the coach cancels, we will provide a store credit on the player’s profile to be used for the next visit. If players do not wish to have the credit and wish to receive a refund, we will assist you with it.
